Voice & the Pen is a songwriters series based in Wilmington, North Carolina that was created to give local singer/songwriters a stage to showcase their works.  The Port City is full of musicians who often play 5, 6, 7 days a week.  While musicians love to get out there and perform, it’s not the cover songs that tend to evoke their true passion for the music.  In 2021, ILM musicians Emily Burdette and Jarrett Raymond put their heads together to give themselves and their fellow musicians the ideal performing opportunity.  The series brings on artists who are handpicked and ask that they EXCLUSIVELY play original songs.

Voice & the Pen began in July and continues to gain momentum.  Thanks to all who have supported this endeavor and continue to do so.
